The Batttle of Reed's Bridge was fought during the 1863 Little Rock Campaign as Union soldiers tried to punch their way south while Rebel Troops tried to protect the Capitol. Historical marker highlights the battlefield which is being developed into a city park; listed on the National Register of Historic Places

Jacksonville Military History Museum

Spans military history from the Civil War to Vietnam. Housed in the old Arkansas Ordinance Plant administration building. Collections include such items as a Christmas card signed by Adolph Hitler and over 100 propaganda posters from both World Wars.
